Dolphin Dynamics and Ramesys Announce Partnership

Dolphin Dynamics Ltd. and Ramesys Ltd. announced today a joint marketing initiative that sees the integration of their popular travel agency products, Dolphin FlightScanner and SABS, to provide an enhanced service to users of each.

The two travel technology companies are experts in complimentary areas. Ramesys’ strength is in facilitating the distribution of tour operator and Viewdata content, whereas Dolphin Dynamics enables the sale of web-based flight content.

The agreement means that Dolphin Dynamics, developers of FlightScanner, the most widely used professional booking engine for web fares, will provide Ramesys with access to FlightScanner’s data services. By integrating this data into their SABS product Ramesys will be able to offer low cost carriers and web fares to SABS users.

In turn Ramesys will provide Dolphin Dynamics with a customised version of SABS, the UK’s most dynamic and functionally rich travel agency holiday and charter flight booking tool, for resale under the Dolphin brand. This will extend the Dolphin product portfolio to include an advanced Viewdata product that offers package holidays to Dolphin’s leisure and retail customers. Furthermore, a link between FlightScanner and the SABS engine will provide FlightScanner customers with the ability to also search charter flights from a single screen alongside web, GDS and net fares.

The combined data feeds will also be available in both companies’ consumer products, FlightScanner IBE and SABS Consumer, which allow the end consumer to make bookings without seeing either Viewdata or the web site of the supplier.

Commenting on the agreement Roberto Da Re, Dolphin Dynamics President, said, “By bringing FlightScanner and SABS closer together we have been able to enhance each others offering. We can now give clients the ability to choose the product that best suits their needs and still have access to the full range of data.”

Brian Sheerin, General Manager of Ramesys, added, “This is part of our overall strategy to bring suppliers together and simplify the buying process for agents. For too long agents have had to deal with four or five companies to obtain the basic products they require; this agreement makes both the purchase of products and the ongoing support a lot easier and keeps costs down”.
