InterContinental Hotels Group
announced today the opening of a Crowne Plaza Hotel in San Antonio, TX. 
The 21-story, 410-room Crowne Plaza-San Antonio Riverwalk is the latest
property to join the Crowne Plaza Hotels and Resorts portfolio.
The property, which is just nine miles from the San Antonio International
Airport, is set to undergo a $6.3 million renovation.  Areas targeted for
capital improvements include the lobby area, restaurant, guest rooms, and
building exterior.

The hotel features unique South Texas décor throughout the guestrooms
and lobby and offers two dining facilities.  At Players Sports Bar, guests can
enjoy traditional sports bar offerings and Marbella Restaurant offers South
Texas casual dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  The hotel’s Lobby Bar
offers martinis, as well as a wide selection of wines and domestic and
imported beers.

Guest room amenities include: voice mail, coffee maker, hair dryer, in-room
safe, make-up mirror, data ports, iron and ironing board.  Four guestrooms
are suites. The Crowne Plaza-San Antonio Riverwalk also offers a 24-hour
reception desk, express checkout, fitness center, wireless internet, sauna,
steam bath, outdoor pool, solarium, concierge, gift shop, business center,
same-day laundry and valet and 24-hour room service.

With 37,000-sq. ft. of meeting space, including one of the largest ballrooms
in the city, the Crowne Plaza-San Antonio Riverwalk provides the perfect
venue for business meetings and social functions.

The Crowne Plaza-San Antonio Riverwalk is owned and managed by Pyramid
Hotel Group, under a license agreement with a company in the
InterContinental Hotels Group.
