TOWARD Europe, the organisation created to maximise the profitability of the travel industry, has announced that it is to hold a gala dinner and round-table discussion exclusively for the UK’s top 100 tour operators, to discuss key industry distribution issues.Titled ‘Re-inventing Your Tour Operation to Stay Ahead’, the event is designed to identify the new opportunities for tour operators, the key distribution issues they face and to see which issues can then be championed by the industry organisation.

The event, sponsored by Amadeus, Hertz Europe and RWA, will take place on 21 September, 2004 at the Grange Strathmore Hotel, Kensington. Tour operators are invited to attend free of charge.

Facilitating the evening will be Michael East of Eastcastle Management Group, a specialist in strategic planning and investment in the travel, aviation and hotel industries.

Bill Barnes, part of the TOWARD Europe management committee and Head of Tours Business Unit at Amadeus commented: “This is an incredible opportunity for operators to see how they can continue to grow their business, and to understand where cooperation with their industry partners is going to be vital.
