Cleopatra’s Spa - the largest day-spa in the UAE - has proved once again that it’s excellent reputation is well deserved. Cleopatra’s Spa won the Silver Award in the coveted category of Best Spa in the Middle East and North African region, MENA travel Awards 2004. With its high level of service standards, Cleopatra’s Spa quickly developed a loyal clientele and an unmatched reputation. Since then, Cleopatra’s has remained at the forefront of the burgeoning spa market in the UAE.

The Award follows consistent excellence on part of the entire Cleopatra’s Spa team, and the addition of a number of new treatments - such as Reiki and Ear-candling - to the already extensive spa menu which includes British spa brand Elemis. With it’s 21 treatment rooms and dedicated men and women’s areas, Cleopatra’s Spa not only periodically updates it’s range or products and services, but also ensures that the therapists receive ongoing training to keep the treatments on offer at par with international spa standards.

The Award was presented to a delighted Jacqui McCumisky, Manager Cleopatra’s Spa, who expressed her elation at the industry-standard recognition of the diligence of her team at Cleopatra’s. “It’s such a great achievement to win this award especially in a highly competitive area.  I feel very proud to be part of such a beautiful spa.”

Cleopatra’s Spa is a part of Pyramids Health & Leisure, located at Wafi City. “Our best compliment is when our guests speak positively about the spa,” adds Hewerdine. “In this case I feel it says that this is the voice of the people, so a very important and genuine recognition and that we at Cleopatra’s are listening to our guests needs.”

Cleopatra’s Spa is the flagship spa of Wafi Health & Leisure, which has under it’s umbrella the Middle East region’s largest spa operating company: Spa Resources International (SRI). Operating four spas on prestigious five-star hotel properties and supplying products to over fifteen spa and beauty centers across the region, SRI is regarded as pioneer in the regional spa industry. Wafi H&L and SRI are proud that not only did their flagship spa collect the Silver Award, but that the Gold Award was carried away by Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort & Spa - a property designed and initially operated by SRI, and the list of nominees also included Le Royal Amman, Jordan, a property designed by SRI.

“As leaders in the Spa Industry for the Middle East, we are delighted to be recognized for our hard work, professionalism and dedication to the industry, our clients and to ourselves,” says Daniella Russell, Director Wafi health & Leisure. “Spa & Leisure is one of the fastest growing hospitality areas and as creators of spas for many hotels, resorts and private investors we see the need for awareness of our industry expanding and awards such as the MENA help support recognition of our important role in the hospitality world.”

“With Dubai an ever growing tourism focus, the MENA awards can only be a positive help in the industry,” added Hewerdine. “More and more people are becoming more spa conscious and the MENA awards are certainly a great way of exposure through such great networking.”
