Hilton Announces Second Hotel for Dublin

Hilton International today announced the signing of a management agreement with P J Walls to operate the new build, four-star Hilton Dublin Airport when it is completed in Spring 2005.  The 45m EURO, 166-bedroom hotel is expected to create approximately 110 new jobs for the area.
The Hilton Dublin Airport will provide seven Hilton meetings rooms, a 350 sq m conference and function room for up to 250 people, 160 seat restaurant, 75 person bar and a 60 sq m LivingWell Express fitness centre. The hotel will provide parking for 166 cars.

The Hilton Dublin Airport is an integral part of a 350m EURO,20-acre, high quality residential, retail and office development.  Up to 700 one, two and three bed apartments are proposed, as well as fourteen retail units and four high specification office blocks. Close to Malahide Village with all its facilities, the development is strategically positioned with strong transport links, (M50, QBC and a new DART station) leisure and shopping facilities.

Wolfgang M. Neumann, President of Hilton UK & Ireland said: “This second Hilton for Dublin will not only perfectly complement our existing Hilton Dublin property, but will provide much-needed extra award-winning, quality hotel accommodation and service to the corporate and leisure markets of the airport area.”

“The Hilton Dublin Airport is an important first step in this landmark development on Malahide Road,” said Mr Pat Veale, managing director, P J Walls Group.  “The architectural vision for the Hilton Dublin Airport and the complementary apartments, retail and office development lays special emphasis on quality of environment.  Internal courtyards, gardens and squares maximise light and space to create a contemporary and special living experience with views out over the sea to Ireland’s Eye and north to Portmarnock Golf Links.”

Hilton’s management agreement is with Walls Leisure Limited, a subsidiary of P J Walls Holdings Ltd.
