The brand new,  £30m Hilton Newcastle Gateshead opens its doors to its first guests this week.  The four-star deluxe, 254-room hotel is located on the Gateshead side of the River Tyne, with sweeping views over the Newcastle and the Tyne Bridge.
The hotel offers extensive business, conference and banqueting facilities, with ten Hilton Meetings rooms, a fully serviced Business Centre and a large boardroom. For the larger conference, exhibition or banquet, the state of the art Gateshead Suite can cater for up to 500 guests.

The contemporary-styled bedrooms are a minimum of 28m2 and include 98 Executive rooms and three suites.  A large two-storey Executive Lounge on the fifth floor offers panoramic views over Newcastle and its bridges..

The Windows on the Tyne Restaurant & Bar offers a modern, international menu with a range of fine wines and cocktails, and the relaxed Caffé Cino coffee bar provides a selection of coffees, teas and lighter snacks.  Further facilities include a 6,000 sq feet LivingWell health club with an indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room and beauty suite, and parking for 180 cars.
