US Airways and Delta Begin Interline E-Ticketing

US Airways today began offering its customers “interline” electronic
ticketing capabilities with Delta Air Lines, enabling travelers to use a
single e-ticket for itineraries that include travel on both carriers.
With this agreement, US Airways now has interline e-ticketing agreements
on itineraries for travel on American, Continental, Delta and Northwest
Airlines, as well as its extensive codesharing relationships with United,
all of which enable customers to travel on one e-ticket.

“E-tickets are now used by over 94 percent of our customers,” said Kerry
Carstairs, US Airways vice president of direct distribution. “This
agreement allows even more of our customers to enjoy the time-saving
benefits of e- ticket travel.”

Interline e-ticket technology allows customers to use a single e-ticket
issued by US Airways for an itinerary that also includes travel on Delta.
It also enables US Airways to accommodate Delta customers holding
e-tickets on changed itineraries.

US Airways customers will also have the flexibility of traveling on a
Delta flight during irregular operational conditions, such as weather
disruptions, without the additional time and effort needed to obtain a
paper ticket.

Interline e-tickets for itineraries that include travel on both US Airways
and Delta can be issued through US Airways’ or Delta’s reservations
representatives, or at either carriers’ airport or city ticket offices.
Interline e-tickets between US Airways and Delta will be available on both
airlines’ Web sites and from travel professionals next week.
