Elemis’ General Manager Celebrates 10th Anniversary
Lester Trask, General Manager of the Elemis Warehouse has celebrated his 10th Anniversary with the leading spa brand, Elemis. On being presented with a gift by SÌ©an Harrington, Managing Director, he commented, å“Ten years with Elemis, I find it hard to believe how the years can pass by so quicklyå”.

Lester went on to say, “Over the last ten years Elemis has had, and still have management that do not let the grass grow under their feet. Management that sees an opportunity to take the industry by storm - they start with an idea, create a vision and make it happen. Management that are not frightened to take that chance because they believe what they are doing will take Elemis to even greater heights. So I am going to rewrite the old saying to - Elemis waits for no man.”
Lester moved from Kent to Somerset 11 years ago. In January 1993, he applied for a job with a company called Elemis based in Taunton. At his interview the warehouse manager at that time asked him the question… “If I offer you the position, where do you see yourself in a year’s time?”. His answer was “sitting in your seat”. Lester began work in the filling room, which at the time had only three members of staff filling and a total work force of seven. “When we got loaded down with work and needed an extra pair of hands Séan Harrington would come down take off his coat and get stuck in filling and packing”.
As the years went on Elemis grew and so did the workforce. In June 1994 both Rita (Production Administration Manager & Lester’s wife) and Mike Cox, Warehouse Manager, joined Elemis. In 1995, 1996 and 1997, Elemis purchased more units at the site in Taunton. In 1998 Lester was approached by John Britton and Séan Harrington and offered the General Manager’s position “I was only too pleased to take on the responsibility and challenge”, he said.

In August 1999, Séan and John announced that the Elemis warehouse would be moving to a new site in Bridgwater. In 2001 the manufacturing division re-located to a new 60,000 sq-ft facility in Somerset, UK with high-tech fully automated machinery. The story does not end there, in less than two years of moving to Bridgwater, Elemis had to take on more space and a further two units were added to the existing unit.
So what is in store for the next 10 years? “It frightens me to think, but one thing I am convinced of is that the team of dedicated people we have working at Elemis the next 10 years will be every bit as successful as the last”.
