Changes At The Top At Livingwell

Managing Director Stuart Broster is leaving LivingWell, to take up the position of President of Hilton Canada Inc.

Stuart has headed up the health club division of Hilton for the past five years.

In this time he has underpinned the division`s development, which has not only enabled LivingWell to firmly establish itself as a key operator in the UK marketplace, but has been instrumental in introducing the brand internationally.

“With seven properties overseas, and a total of 130,000 members and 2,700 staff worldwide, my objectives on joining LivingWell five years ago have now been achieved and it is time for a fresh pair of hands at the top to build on these strong foundations.

“The chance to oversee Hilton`s presence in Canada is a fantastic opportunity, one that offers me a fresh new personal challenge with the additional benefit of working and experiencing life in a new country. “

Paul Harvey, currently finance director of Hilton UK and Ireland, will head up LivingWell when he is appointed as MD this coming October.

Forty-year-old Paul said, “I am excited to be making the move from finance to fitness, especially as LivingWell is such a thriving business with a great brand and a quality product.

“Both the UK and international marketplaces offer immense opportunity and challenge. LivingWell has prospered under Stuart`s leadership and is ideally positioned to continue to play a major role in the health and fitness industry and I relish “taking the baton” later this year.”

LivingWell currently has a UK member base of 115,000 members through 86 clubs, with four additional new build clubs planned in this country.

Future growth activity will concentrate on expanding LivingWell`s existing international network of seven clubs, with particular focus on Northern Europe and Australia.
