Bombardier showcases Industry Leading Mobility solutions for Mexico and Latin America

Bombardier Transportation is presenting its world class rail solutions for Mexico and Latin America at the 25th General Assembly of the Latin American Association of Metros and Subways (ALAMYS). The event took place in Guadalajara City, Mexico from November 22 until November 24.

Bombardier is featuring its comprehensive portfolio of innovative, eco-friendly and technologically-advanced rail solutions which enhance passenger comfort. During ALAMYS, Bombardier will show the BOMBARDIER INNOVIA 300 family of fully automated smart mobility solutions including Monorail, Advanced Rapid Transit and Automated People Movers. The BOMBARDIER CITYFLO 650 state-of-the-art rail control solutions that maximize the use of rail infrastructure and equipment will also be on display.

As a provider of a complete range of propulsion and control equipment for all types of rail vehicles, Bombardier will present the BOMBARDIER MITRAC technology that sets the standard of reliability and sustainability. Also, with its full scope of Services, Bombardier Transportation representatives will be on hand to demonstrate how market-leading expertise can deliver efficient, competitive and sustainable rail operations by helping customers minimize their operational costs and maximize revenues through extended asset lifetime.

The driverless turnkey systems INNOVIA 300 family of fully automated transit systems, including Monorail, Advanced Rapid Transit and Automated People Mover are the emerging game-changing solution to smart mobility, transporting hundreds of thousands of passengers safely, efficiently, comfortably and reliably to their destinations.

The newest technology of Bombardier’s turnkey solutions is the INNOVIA Monorail 300 system. Cost-effective to introduce and not requiring major infrastructure or civil works, it offers transport capacity up to 50,000 passengers per hour per direction (pphpd). Bombardier is currently executing two high profile orders for the INNOVIA Monorail 300 system: a contract to supply a 24 km system for São Paulo, Brazil and a contract to supply a 3.6 km system for the prestigious King Abdullah Financial District in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

BOMBARDIER CITYFLO 650 Communication Based Train Control (CBTC)
With the state-of-the-art CITYFLO 650 communication-based automated train control system, the INNOVIA 300 family is setting the standard worldwide. The CITYFLO 650 solution is a radio based, moving block ATC system which uses a reliable two-way radio for train-to-wayside communication transmitting vital information to trains, and train position information to the wayside. CITYFLO 650 comprehensively fulfils the requirements of a communication-based system in a transit environment. The system can be employed with driver or driverless depending on the customer requirements. It uses the most advanced technology in the world and fully complies with the North American PTC requirements. The CITYFLO 650 solution has been in operation since 2002 with 13 systems in revenue service worldwide and eight more in various stages of implementation. CITYFLO 650 is one of the most widely used CBTC systems.
