Atlantic City Hotel & Lodging Association Hosts its Empire Gala at Tropicana Casino & Resort

There was extravagance and excitement. Atlantic City reigned supreme as queen of resorts during an era when Atlantic City shined with decadent hotels and the beaches were lined with visitors spanning the city.

Michael Anderson, president of the Atlantic City Hotel & Lodging Association announces a roaring 1920’s theme, Empire Gala on the Boardwalk Annual Dinner Dance, to be held at the Tropicana Casino & Resort on Friday, April 9, 2010. The Gala is the major fundraiser for the ACHLA Scholarship Foundation, which has awarded in excess of $240,000 to area students pursuing hospitality and culinary careers.

The ACHLA Empire Gala on the Boardwalk Dinner Dance will be held on April 9, 2010 at

Tropicana Casino & Resort, and will feature a Boardwalk Empire book signing by Nelson Johnson, with a portion of the proceeds going to benefit the ACHLA Scholarship Fund. Individual tickets for the event are priced at $145 and tables of 10 are priced at $1,250.

The event begins with a two-hour reception starting at 6 p.m. followed by a dinner and music by Don’t Call Me Francis. The master of ceremonies is Lloyd D. Levenson, Esq. Throughout the evening guests will have the chance to win exciting prizes, including air travel tickets, overnight stays, gift baskets and other valuable prizes. ACHLA will also announce their 2009 Allied Member of the Year and host the installation of the 2010 Officers and Board of Directors.
