AnsaldoBreda delivers first regional single deck train to Emilia Romagna Railways

With the release of the first train from the factory in Pistoia, AnsaldoBreda has begun the delivery of regional trains purchased by Emilia Romagna Railways. From the plant in Via Ciliegiole came out the number 1 out of 34 single deck trains intended to the renewal of the fleet following a delivery, which dates back to December 2010, contracted by an Rti formed by AB and Stadler.

More in detail, there will be 12 the trains intended to FER and another 22 for the Territorial Systems of Veneto, with an option for a further 22 trains.
Once the approval process, at the moment in place at the National Security Railway Agency, is ended the vehicles will come into operation from the beginning of next year.

The product is an EMU (Electric Multiple Unit) single deck with a composition varying from 4, to 5, to 6 cars, with power supply of 3 kV, a continuous power of 2MW,  boarding access height of 600 mm, a length variable from 74 to 106, structure of the car in light alloy, passenger capacity from 200 to 300 seats and a top speed of 160 km / h.

The trains are characterized by a tricolor livery and very attractive blue interiors.
