Amadeus to inspire industry at ATM 2012

Amadeus, a leading travel technology partner and transaction processor for the global travel and tourism industry, today announced its participation at Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2012, the Middle East’s leading travel and tourism exhibition, with a view to showcase its latest products and solutions that meet the needs of the ever-changing travel landscape.

Exhibiting under the theme of ‘Inspire, Empower, Reach’ at stand TT220 in the Technology Hall, Amadeus brings to the forefront a diversified portfolio of products and services envisioned to enable travel sellers to develop new channels, attract new customer segments and match them with latest trends, with an ultimate goal of enabling them to better support these customers before, during and after the trip while ensuring a successful and profitable business.

Scheduled to be held from 30 April - 3 May at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, ATM provides the ideal platform for players from practically every facet of the region’s travel and tourism industry including travel providers, travel agents and technology partners to keep up-to-date with latest trends in the industry, network, exchange knowledge and ideas and exhibit their work.

Amadeus Content Store, released exclusively in the Middle East and North Africa, will be another important highlight at ATM. The solution offers travel agencies, even the smallest ones, unparalleled access to over 150,000 worldwide hotel properties sourced from the region’s most popular aggregators and wholesalers at effective prices.

Fierce competition from online players and direct channels warrant the need to effectively find the most competitive air fares. With solutions such as Amadeus Master Pricer and Amadeus All Fares, travel agents can find the best fares and provide an added value to their customers.

Several solutions that assist travel agents save costs, increase revenues and enhance productivity including Amadeus Ticket Changer, Amadeus Custom Desktop and Amadeus Offers will additionally be showcased during the trade event.

Day four will also see Amadeus’ participation in a panel discussion titled ‘How to fully utilise the GDS’ during which the industry’s leading players will shed light on the various aspects of the GDS with a view to educating travel agents on how to make best use of the system to enhance growth and productivity.
