AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:  AAI), today resumed scheduled service from Gulfport/Biloxi, Miss., to the carrier’s hub in Atlanta and added new service from Gulfport/Biloxi to Tampa/St. Petersburg, Fla.

“AirTran Airways is excited to be returning to the beautiful Mississippi Gulf Coast,” said Kevin Healy, senior vice president, marketing and planning. “Getting to the area’s popular casinos is easier than ever with AirTran Airways’ fleet of Boeing 717 aircraft, all equipped with Wi-Fi, and the friendliest, most affordable service around.”

Residents of the Mississippi Gulf Coast will also have access to virtually the entire AirTran network of more than 60 cities.
