Air New Zealand appoints new leadership for UK market

Air New Zealand has announced three new appointments including Jorge Flores-Garcia as the sales manager for the UK and Europe.

At the same time, Sandra Rogat will take up the role of manager of market development for the region, while Bethany Bond becomes the manager of performance and alliance.

Joining the sales management department, Flores-Garcia has extensive market knowledge, with over 15 years of travel experience under his belt.

After joining the Air New Zealand family as corporate account manager in 2015, Flores-Garcia then moved onto the role of leisure channel manager, proving himself an invaluable member to the team.

With previous roles in the aviation industry, including Scandinavian Airlines Systems and Royal Jordanian Airlines, Flores-Garcia brings important sales experience to the team and is committed to the development of people.

“I am truly looking forward to leading the Air New Zealand sales team in the UK and Europe.

“It’s a wonderful opportunity to be able to work alongside such a talented team and together we have big ambitions for these key markets,” explained Flores-Garcia.

Air New Zealand’s newly appointed manager of market development, Rogat, has been at the company since March 2016 in the role of European marketing manager.

Having previously worked at VisitLondon, she has gained a wealth of travel experience by managing joint venture campaigns with tourist boards, airlines and trade partners.

In turn, Bond joined Air New Zealand in 2015 as leisure channel manager and prior to that worked at VisitCalifornia.

Air New Zealand general manager, UK and Europe, Air New Zealand, Jo Copestake said the new appointments will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the roles.

“I’m incredibly pleased about all three appointments and confident each will bring their strategic, commercial and management strengths to the forefront, driving further growth and development of Air New Zealand,” Copestake concluded.
