Acentic brings Hotel iTV to Asian Market

Acentic is opening Acentic Asia in a bid to bring Acentic’s in-room entertainment Hotel TV system and Internet connectivity technology to the Asian hospitality market, along with consulting and support.

Located in the iconic skyscraper Hopewell Centre in Hong Kong Island, the office will serve international hotel brands and individual local properties with personalised attention to Asian market needs, such as localisation (translations), and support for local digital technology like Hong Kong’s DMB-T over coax and IP.

“With no major player in the iTV market in Asia at the moment, the majority of the hotels here do not have a digital iTV system or even provide digital TV services to their rooms,” said Richard Robinson, CEO of Acentic. “This is an opportunity for hotels to gain a competitive advantage by offering their guests today’s connected lifestyle, resulting in greater guest satisfaction and increased revenue opportunities.”

Acentic’s renowned commitment towards long-term upgradable solutions and client focused partnerships can now be extended to the region, a welcomed expansion by many of the world’s leading hotel brands.

Acentic Asia will have an initial focus on providing a local presence and support in Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore and The Philippines. The company plans later coverage of China, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan.
