World Dream prepares to set sail for first time

After World Dream’s official handover ceremony from Meyer Werft to Dream Cruises, the ship will begin her epic ocean voyage.

The journey will take her from Germany to Gibraltar, through the Mediterranean Sea and the Suez Canal, across the Indian Ocean with visits to Sri Lanka and Singapore before ending at her new dual homeports in Hong Kong on November 17th and Guangzhou, China, on November 19th.

Dream Cruises’ newest addition, World Dream has been conceived as a floating high-end, integrated resort at sea, leveraging on Genting Cruise Lines’ extensive history and expertise from its cruise related businesses.

The debut of World Dream will further enhance Dream Cruises’ capacity to offer a broad spectrum of multi-generational programs and facilities for guests, highlighted by exemplary heartfelt Asian hospitality and a market leading crew to guest ratio.

The 18-deck, 151,300 ton ship was designed from day one for an international cruise experience with authentic Asian characteristics.

With a capacity of over 3,400 passengers, World Dream will be one of the most spacious and luxurious cruise ships in the region.
