Iona recently joined the P&O Cruises fleet, and was welcomed at an official handover ceremony at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany.

Viewers can now watch how all the pieces come together over two years in this latest time-lapse video, to form the most innovative and greenest ship yet.

The vessel will celebrate her maiden season to northern Europe, Spain, Portugal and the Canary Islands from her home port of Southampton next year.

An as yet unnamed sister ship will be delivered in December 2022.
