Zipcar has announced that Zipcar Flex, its ‘floating’ car sharing service, is now available to nearly 3.5 million Londoners. Zipcar Flex allows members to spontaneously jump into a car and drive one-way across London, with the ability to drop the car off in one of thousands of spaces within the ‘Zipzone’, which now covers an area of over 235 km2 across London.

The launch is a further step in Zipcar’s international expansion, which already includes an established presence in the United Kingdom, Spain, France and Austria. The expansion to Istanbul celebrates Zipcar’s third new European market in seven months as it accelerates growth and increases its footprint to meet increasing consumer demand.
