New head of alliance for Vueling
Vueling has appointed Nick Ashton to the role of head of alliances. The newly created position, linked to Vueling Next, has a remit to maximise existing relationships and develop the company’s alliances strategy with a focus on customer experience and commercial optimisation.
Vueling to launch new customer loyalty programme
Vueling will soon launch its new loyalty programme Vueling Club to replace the current Punto programme. From autumn 2017, Vueling customers will be able to collect and spend Avios to get free flights from the airline.

Qatar Airways signs codeshare deal with Vueling
Qatar Airways has signed a code-share partnership with Vueling Airlines, offering passengers enhanced travel across Europe from today. The news comes as the Middle Eastern carrier expands its stake in Vueling-owner IAG to 20 per cent.
Vueling Airlines to add Manchester-Tenerife flights
Vueling Airlines is set for further expansion from Manchester Airport this summer adding a new route to Tenerife. The Spanish low cost airline will operate one flight a week to the Canary Island during July and August and two flights a week in September and October.
Sánchez-Prieto takes over leadership of Vueling
International Airlines Group has appointed Javier Sánchez-Prieto as the new chairman and chief executive of Vueling. He will replace Alex Cruz who will become chairman and chief executive of British Airways. Javier Sánchez-Prieto is currently Iberia’s chief financial officer.
Vueling Airlines reveals two new Manchester flights
Vueling Airlines has said it will launch two new routes from Manchester Airport for summer 2016. Part of International Airlines Group, Vueling will offer direct services to Alicante and Rome from June 2016. The Spanish low cost airline will operate three flights a week to Alicante and two flights a week to Rome in addition to their existing service to Barcelona, which started in June 2015.
Vueling to fly all year round
