VISIT FLORIDA and Emergent Media have announced the launch of Florida’s Table, which promotes the state’s dynamic culinary scene by showcasing a diverse handful of restaurants across Southeast Florida. Each episode features a local chef or restaurateur who is a reflection of the place they live and work.

VisitFlorida launches online marketing tool to agents
VisitFlorida is launching its first ever e-learning programme, the VisitFlorida Expert; a useful tool designed to give UK and Irish travel agents a comprehensive overview of the Sunshine State and all it has to offer. Alfredo Gonzalez, vice president international sales and marketing development, will be leading the launch, introducing the new e-learning programme to agents at a product training event in central London from tomorrow.

Visit Florida breaks visitor number records for fifth straight year
According to preliminary estimates released by Visit Florida, the state’s official tourism marketing corporation, Florida welcomed 105 million visitors in 2015. This is the fifth consecutive record year for visitation to Florida, exceeding the previous high of 98.5 million in 2014 by 6.6 per cent.

Visit Florida signs on as Fulham FC sponsor
Visit Florida, the state of Florida’s official tourist board, has officially launched its partnership with Fulham Football Club as its Main Team Sponsor for the 2015/16 season. The new Fulham FC team kit boldly displays the familiar Visit Florida logo across the chest of the home, away and third kit. In addition, Visit Florida has signage at the Craven Cottage grounds and will also be featured on the Riverside Stand roof, which is on the landing approach of London’s Heathrow Airport.

Google Maps finds new partner in VisitFlorida
A team from VisitFlorida has begun a four-month odyssey to capture stunning images of the Sunshine State’s 825 miles of beaches using Google’s Street View Trekker technology. These 360-degree images will be integrated into Google Maps, enabling potential visitors from around the globe to experience interactive views of Florida’s world-renowned beaches before they ever leave home.

Record year for VISIT FLORIDA Spending
Today, during a meeting of the Florida Cabinet, Governor Rick Scott announced that according to preliminary estimates released by VISIT FLORIDA, visitors to the Sunshine State spent a record $71.8 billion, an increase of 6.8 percent over 2011.

Governor Scott recommends increased funding for Visit Florida
Florida governor Rick Scott has announced his proposed budget for 2013-2014, calling for $75 million in public funding for Visit Florida in order to support statewide tourism marketing efforts for the coming year. The recommendation represents a 39 per cent increase over the allocation from the previous year.
