Vietnam Airlines expands codeshare deal with Garuda Indonesia
Vietnam Airlines and Garuda Indonesia have signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen cooperation between the two airlines. The deal focuses on a codeshare partnership, services, maintenance, repair, and overhaul, and cargo.

Vietnam Airlines has celebrated the delivery of its 11th Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner at Noi Bai International Airport. The aircraft, VN-A871, landed in Noi Bai at 13:50 and has been put into operation, initially on the Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh City route.

Vietnam Airlines’ Joint Stock Company ran its first share trading session on the Hanoi Stock Exchange’s Unlisted Public Company Index earlier. More than 1,227 million shares of Vietnam Airlines were officially listed and traded on the UPCoM with a starting (reference) price in the first trading day of 28,000 VND per share, accounting for about 11 per cent of UPCoM’s total market capitalisation.

Boeing and Vietnam Airlines have celebrated the delivery of the flag carrier’s tenth 787-9 Dreamliner. “Vietnam Airlines is proud to welcome our 10th Boeing 787 Dreamliner on behalf of Vietnam Airlines, only 16 months after we took delivery of the first of these state-of-the-art new aircraft,” said Phan Xuan Duc, executive vice president, Vietnam Airlines.
Vietnam Airlines partners with Jetstar Pacific for domestic connections
Vietnam Airlines has partnered with Jetstar Pacific to introduce 34 code-sharing flights between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City per day. The news means a flight will take off approximately every 30 minutes between 05:45 and 21:30. Vietnam Airlines operates the on-the-hour flights, while the Jetstar Pacific flights leave alternately every 15-30 minutes.

Finnair launches codeshare deal with Vietnam Airlines
Finnair and Vietnam Airlines are launching a new codeshare cooperation that will offer a wider choice of destinations and flight frequencies for customers in both Europe and Vietnam. With this new agreement, Finnair’s flight numbers will be added to Vietnam Airlines flights which operate out of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City connecting with Finnair’s flights to Helsinki from Bangkok and Singapore.
ANA signs codeshare deal with Vietnam Airlines
ANA and Vietnam Airlines will launch a codeshare partnership at the beginning of their 2016 winter schedules, commencing on Sunday. The codeshare partnership will initially cover ten international routes, linking Japan and Vietnam. In addition, it will link 25 principal domestic routes in both countries. This will allow passengers to travel more conveniently throughout the region.
