US Airways steps up in-flight internet access
US Airways has completed installation of the Gogo wi-fi in-flight internet service on its fleet of 270 Airbus A319, A320, A321 and Embraer 190 aircraft. The 58 Embraer 170 and 175 aircraft operated by Republic Airlines as US Airways Express have also been updated.
US Airways offers baggage delivery service and tool
US Airways now offers customers the ability to skip the line at baggage claim with Bags VIP delivery service; which delivers their bag to their home, hotel or office. The airline also offers customers the Track Your Bag tool on usairways.com. Track Your Bag allows travelers to follow their bags from check-in to landing from their smart phone, tablet or laptop.
US Airways reports record March load factor
US Airways Group, Inc. today announced March and year-to-date 2013 traffic results. Mainline revenue passenger miles (RPMs) for the month were 5.6 billion, up 5.1 percent versus March 2012. Mainline capacity was 6.5 billion available seat miles (ASMs), up 3.2 percent versus March 2012. Mainline passenger load factor was a record 86.1 percent for the month of March, up 1.5 points versus March 2012.
American Airlines gets green light on US Airways deal
The proposed merger of American Airlines and US Airways has been approved by a judge in the United States. The decision, which had to be approved by a judge following American Airlines’ decision to enter bankruptcy protection in November 2011, moves the two companies one step closer to forming the largest carrier in the world.

American Airlines seals deal with US Airways
American Airlines parent AMR Corporation has agreed a merger with US Airways, ending weeks of speculation a deal was imminent. The boards of directors of both companies have unanimously approved a definitive merger agreement under which the companies will combine to create a premier global carrier, which will have an implied combined equity value of approximately $11 billion.
US Airways reports highest annual profit in company history
US Airways has recorded a net profit of $537 million, or $2.79 per diluted share, for financial 2012. The figure excludes net special items totalling a credit of $100 million, and compares to a full year 2011 net profit of $111 million excluding net special items, or $0.68 per diluted share.
American Airlines signs pilots deal with US Airways
American Airlines and US Airways have signed a ‘pilot’s agreement’ which could potentially smooth the path of any merger between the two airlines. The two United Stated-based carriers confirmed they had completed discussions with the Allied Pilots Association and the US Airlines Pilots Association, with a deal now in place in the event of a merger.

US Airways to launch Charlotte-London flights in March
US Airways has confirmed it will inaugurate a daily, non-stop service between its Charlotte hub and Heathrow Airport in London. The flights are expected to begin in March 2013.
