Travelzest has revealed that Jonathan Carroll’s contract has been terminated. Mr Carroll will cease to act as chief executive officer and employee of the Company and all its subsidiaries with immediate effect. A further announcement regarding his position as a director will be made in due course.
Travelzest has announced the launch of its new online hotel booking function, offering an inspired collection of luxury city and beach hotels in the world’s favourite destinations. The new booking engine allows customers to search for hotels by date and destination across the globe at competitive rates, and includes a range of savings and booking incentives.
Travelzest has announced the appointment of James Brooke as a non-executive director. Brooke, 40, an investment manager at Henderson Global Investors, the company’s largest single shareholder, will join the board as non-executive director.
Travelzest has said it may fail to meet expectations for the full year following a sharp fall in profits. Profit at the London-based tour operator for the half year ended April 30th fell to just £400,000 according to figures released today, down from £1.4 million last year.
Travelzest’s new Hotel & Villa Collection, launching this week, is the company’s first brochure incorporating a mix of its boutique travel brands.
The 250-page brochure brings together four of Travelzest’s biggest brands for the first time, in recognition of the fact that some of its customers are interested in more than one company in Travelzest’s wide-ranging portfolio of luxury hotels and luxury villas.
