February Visitation Sets Pace for a Strong 2025

The Cayman Islands welcomed 85,998 stayover visitors between January and February 2025 up 7.4% from the same period in 2024. February saw 44,589 stayover visitors arrive on our shores, an increase of 7% year over year. “February’s numbers show that we are on pace for growth in 2025 and we anticipate a strong Q1 for visitation and accompanying revenue from Tourism Accommodation Taxes,” said the Hon. Kenneth Bryan, Deputy Premier and Minister of Tourism and Ports.

To mark Earth Month, Air Canada announced today that its ground operations in Québec City will be the airline’s first station in Canada to achieve 100% electrification of its GSE fleet across all main categories by the end of 2025. This milestone will represent a complete transition from fossil fuel-powered equipment to electric alternatives for all baggage and ramp tractors, belt loaders, power stows, container loaders and aircraft tractors. This transition will eliminate Air Canada’s use of fossil fuel equipment in these key GSE categories at this station.

Lufthansa passengers can now fly from Frankfurt to a number of international destinations with the Airbus A350-900. Four of these state-of-the-art and efficient aircraft have been deployed from Frankfurt since the start of the summer flight schedule. Two more will be added in May and July. The aircraft have been in service on routes to Seoul and Shanghai since March 30. Denver will follow from May 1 and Seattle from July 1.
