Swissôtel outlines new Baku, Azerbaijan, property
The expansion of Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts continues at the crossroads of south-west Asia and Europe with a new deluxe hotel in Baku, Azerbaijan. Scheduled to open in 2015, Swissôtel Baku is currently under construction and will open in time for the first European Olympic Games.
Swissôtel Hotels signs on for Xi’an property
Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts has signed a new management contract with Shaanxi Puyu Industrial for a 350 room hotel in Xi’an. Scheduled for completion in 2016, Swissôtel Xi’an will be nestled in the core business area in the Xi’an National Civil Aerospace Industrial Base within proximity to two Metro lines.
Swissôtel expands into Bangladesh
In addition to Swissôtel’s recently announced hotel projects in a growing number of dynamic markets such as China, India and Russia, the brand is expanding the portfolio with its first hotel in Bangladesh. The Swissôtel Dhaka is located in the new Business District of Gulshan and is scheduled to open in 2018.
Swissôtel Goa, India opens
With the opening of a resort hotel in the popular Indian coastal state of Goa, Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts will complement its global portfolio with an additional deluxe hotel. First guests are anticipated to be welcomed in the first quarter 2013.

Travel metasearch site Wego signs Swissôtel deal
Asian travel metasearch site Wego has confirmed it will integrate the distinctive properties of international hotel group Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts into each of its 52 customised country sites around the world. “We are delighted to offer direct online reservations with Swissôtel properties in the Wego site,” said Craig Hewett, chief commercial officer at Wego.
Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts expands in China
The international hotel group Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts continues to expand its portfolio in China. The future deluxe hotel will be located in Changsha, the capital of Hunan Province and the transportation hub in southcentral China. Swissôtel Changsha will be part of a mixed-use development featuring a Grade A office tower, and it is scheduled to open in 2014.
