Star Clippers Celebrates Record-Breaking New Ports of Call for Summer 2027
The tall-ship cruise line has announced 27 new ports of call across 7 countries for the summer 2027 Mediterranean sailing programme - the highest number of new additions in the line’s history. The new ports of call include Astypalea, Pighadia, Gavrio, Chania, Skyros and Parga in Greece; Çeşme, Datça, Kaş, Kekova and Fethiye in Turkey; Roses, Barcelona and Peniscola in Spain; Menton in France; Trogir and Korčula in Croatia; and, in a brand-new country for the sailing cruises specialist, Albania’s Sarandë
Star Clippers to Debut Three New Sailings from Antigua as Winter 26/27 Programme Is Unveiled
The specialist cruise line will offer brand new 7-night roundtrips from St John’s, Antigua in March 2027, in addition to a new 10-night departure from Oranjested, Aruba. In efforts to vary the itineraries amongst the fleet of three authentic tall-ships, whilst utilising ideal wind conditions, tall-ship Star Clipper will complete her Central America sailings - incorporating an iconic Panama Canal transit - before spending the second half of the winter season in the Caribbean.
Star Clippers Introduces Multiple New Mediterranean Ports of Call for Summer 2026 Sailing Schedule
The specialist cruise line has announced seven brand new ports of call for their summer 2026 schedule, including Ouranoupolis in Greece and Barletta, Monopoli, Crotone and Pesaro in Italy. Star Flyer will visit Ouranoupolis, a small city in the Halkidiki region, following a day of sailing along the Athos peninsular and viewing the monasteries as a part of a 7-night Greek Islands sailing in June 2026. Pesaro will be a tender port, allowing multiple excursion opportunities including day trips to the Republic of San Marino – one of the smallest countries in the world - and the UNESCO-recognised town of Urbino. There are currently no other cruise ships scheduled to visit Ouranoupolis or Pesaro in summer 2026.

Some 25 years ago in 1991 Star Clippers launched its first ship Star Flyer, a recreation of the classic sailing ships of the 19th century. The company decided that the best way to celebrate this silver anniversary would be to give the fleet and their many repeat passengers a brand new sailing ship.
Star Clippers announces largest ever vessel
Tall ship sailing specialist Star Clippers has announced that it has started building a fourth ship to add to its fleet of graceful square-riggers; its first new-build since the launch of Royal Clipper in July 2000. The new vessel, yet to be named, will be the biggest and most ambitious to date and will be launched in the second half of 2017, carrying 300 passengers, measuring 8,770 tons and powered by more than 6,350 sq m of sails. The new ship will technically be a five-masted, square-rigged barque.

Popular Countryfile presenter John Craven, also known for his 17-year stint as the host of children’s programme Newsround, is to host a Caribbean cruise in January on Royal Clipper, flagship of the Star Clippers fleet of graceful tall ships.
