Transavia inks deal with Sabre
Dutch based low-cost airline Transavia has signed a technology agreement with global technology company Sabre, to make all its fares and inventory available in the Sabre travel marketplace. The agreement also includes Transavia’s ancillary services including prepaid bags and allocated seats.

Expedia acquires Travelocity from Sabre for $280m
Expedia has announced it has acquired Travelocity from Sabre Corporation for $280 million in cash. “Travelocity is one of the most recognised travel brands in North America, offering thousands of travel destinations to more than 20 million travellers per month,” said Dara Khosrowshahi, Expedia, Inc. president.
Sabre links with Alaska Airlines for sales technology upgrade
Sabre Corporation has been selected by Alaska Airlines to provide technology solutions to enable its retailing strategy in all sales channels, including through some of the carrier’s interline partner airlines. By late 2015, Sabre’s suite of solutions will give Alaska the ability to offer customers ancillary products and optional services through travel agencies and some interline airline partners.
New appointment for Sabre
Global technology provider Sabre has appointed Clinton Anderson senior vice president of strategy and business development. In this role, Anderson will be focused on identifying and evaluating organic and inorganic growth opportunities across Sabre, as well as leading the corporate strategy team.

Sabre Corporation and Bravofly Rumbo Group have announced today that Bravofly has made a binding offer to acquire lastminute.com. Acceptance of the offer is subject to the completion of employee information and consultation processes, following which closure would be expected to occur in the first quarter of next year.
Wyndham Hotels Group inks deal with Sabre
Wyndham Hotel Group and Sabre Corporation have signed a global strategic technology partnership which will provide cloud-based, cutting-edge Software-as-a-Service reservations, revenue management and enhanced security solutions. As part of this agreement, Wyndham Hotel Group expects to migrate over 4,500 of its North American properties to Sabre’s SynXis Property Manager beginning in mid-2015.
