Proudly Committed, RIU’s definitive step towards sustainability
RIU has presented its new Proudly Committed sustainability strategy. This change comes after a deep internal reflection on the future of the hotel industry and its impact on the community, the environment and employees. As a result of this process, RIU decided to transform the company and place sustainability at the centre of all the organisation’s decisions to ensure that the impact of the company’s activity on both the local community and the surrounding ecosystems is always as positive as possible.
RIU Hotels receives 32 TUI Top Quality 2022 awards
A total of 32 hotels from the RIU Hotels & Resorts chain have been presented with the TUI Top Quality award by the leading global tourism group TUI. These RIU establishments are located in ten different countries: Cape Verde (2), United Arab Emirates (1), the United States (1), Spain (19), the Maldives (2), Mexico (2), Morocco (1), Portugal (1), Sri Lanka (1) and Tanzania (2).
Riu Plaza España metaverse setting for new Rayden single “Multiverso” release
Madrid artist Rayden just released his new single “Multiverso” and chose the digital twin of the Riu Plaza España’s 360º terrace on AltSpace to do so. He thus became the first Spanish artist to release a single in this unique RIU-branded space on the metaverse with spectacular views of the centre of Madrid. For RIU, this was the first big event held in this environment, which was unveiled last June.
