Officials at the Aviation Safety Council in Taiwan have released data showing the pilot of a TransAsia plane which crashed in Taipei had switched off the working engine. Forty-three people died earlier this year when the ATR 72-600 aircraft crashed into a river in the Taiwan capital.

A snoozing pilot has been blamed for a plane crash in southern India earlier this year, which claimed the lives of 158 passengers. The Air India Express aircraft crashed in May after approaching a runway at Mangalore airport at the wrong height and angle.
