Qatar Airways prepares fleet for Paris Air Show 2015

Qatar Airways is preparing to showcase the newest and best of its fleet with a display of five aircraft at the 2015 Paris Air Show, which takes place next month at Le Bourget in Paris. The planes include the Airbus A380 and A350 XWB, both of which entered service for the airline recently, with Qatar Airways receiving the A350 as Global Launch Customer.

A pair of superefficient 787 Dreamliners will be the featured Boeing products on display at the Paris Air Show, which begins June 17 at the Le Bourget exhibition center. One 787 will perform daily flying displays from Monday through Friday, while the other – a Qatar Airways 787 – will be on static display. The Boeing ScanEagle unmanned aircraft system will appear as part of the U.S. Corral display throughout the show.

SAS has signed a firm order for 30 A320neo Family aircraft, as part of its strategy to streamline its fleet with more fuel-efficient new aircraft. These new A320neos will join the airline’s existing fleet of eight A321s and four A319s, and enable SAS to transition to an all-Airbus fleet at its prime Copenhagen base.

Saudi Arabian Airlines has placed a firm order for four additional A330-300 aircraft with Airbus, in addition to the eight ordered in July 2008, taking the total order for the type to 12. Saudi Arabia’s national airline was earlier this year nominated as the Middle East’s Leading Airline by the prestigious World Travel Awards.
