Travelport boosts Oman presence with Travel Point deal
Travelport and Travel Point LLC announced the renewal of their long-term distributor agreement in Oman. The new multi-year agreement cements the longstanding relationship between the two companies and will see Travel Point continue to distribute Travelport’s Galileo products, content and services in the country.

Al Nahda Resort & Spa in Muscat is set to expand its offering with the opening of a boutique 30-room desert resort, Dunes by Al Nahda, in quarter four of 2014. Located a 45-minute drive from Al Nahda Resort & Spa itself in Wadi Al Abiyad, Dunes by Al Nahda will be the closest desert resort to downtown Muscat.
WTTC 2014: Sultanate of Oman set to lead Middle Eastern tourism
The Sultanate of Oman is expected to lead the Middle East in terms of growth in the travel and tourism industry and to post one of the strongest growth rates worldwide in the sector in 2014, according to a report released by the World Travel & Tourism Council. In its annual Travel & Tourism Economic Impact 2014 report, WTTC said that the direct contribution of the travel and tourism industry to Oman’s GDP in 2013 was RO982.8mn (three per cent of GDP) and this is forecast to rise by 10.2 per cent to RO1.08bn in 2014.

Oman takes staring role in tourism push
With Oman Air’s support and assistance, the Sultanate of Oman is to be showcased to international movie-goers, as Once Upon A Time in Mumbai Again gains its theatrical release. The movie, which was directed by Milan Luthria and stars Sonakshi Sinha, Imran Khan and Bollywood’s leading action hero Akshay Kumar, was filmed in and around the Omani capital of Muscat and its launch follows the success of its predecessor, Once Upon a Time in Mumbai.
National Ferries Company builds a better Oman
From operating the fastest ferries in the world to doubling passenger numbers, there is a real sense of momentum at Oman National Ferries. Owned by the Sultanate of Oman’s government, NFC routes connect Khasab to Lima in the northern Musandam peninsula exclave, and Khasab to Muscat and Shinas, as well as a southern route between the Halaniyat islands and Salalah.

Oman Tourism France invites the French people to Oman
In 2012, Oman Tourism France celebrates its 10 years of presence in France. To celebrate this event, Oman Tourism France in partnership with a dozen of French and Omani tourism actors launched a great quiz available on Internet and called “Les Merveilles d’Oman” (Wonders of Oman), in order to offer everyone a chance to go to Oman.
