Rezidor is planning to open its fourth hotel in Tunisia featuring 234 guest rooms, three restaurants, four bars and meetings facilities. The Park Inn by Radisson Sousse is scheduled to open in autumn 2013.

Lonrho and easyGroup have announced the opening of their first hotel in Johannesburg. Scheduled to open later this year, the property will be branded as part of Sir Stelios’s “easyHotel” chain. The 120 room budget hotel will be created from the conversion of three floors of the classically designed landmark building, formerly Stuttafords department store. Work will start next month and the hotel is expected to receive guests in November 2012.

Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts is about to add its first property in Phuket to its portfolio. The international hotel group has been appointed the manager of the existing Courtyard by Marriott at Kamala Beach, which will be re-branded as Swissôtel Resort Phuket on April 1st 2012.
