Marriott launches luxury boutique brand

Marriott International has unveiled its long-awaited, luxury boutique brand and will open two properties in the final quarter of this year. The Edition brand, which is designed by style icon Ian Schrager, will debut its first property in Hawaii’s Waikiki Beach in October, and will be followed shortly by one in Istanbul.

Marriott has earmarked plans for an ambitious expansion programme across the Middle East and Africa that will include the opening of more than 40 properties by 2016.
