Marriott International has reported an increase in quarterly earnings in line with analyst estimates. Maryland-based Marriott said second-quarter net income rose to $135 million, or 37 cents per share from $119 million, or 31 cents per share, in the same period a year ago.

Marriott moves Residence Inn into Bahrain

Marriott International has confirmed plans to introduce its Residence Inn into Bahrain later this year, under a long term management agreement with International Trading & Investment.
