Marriott International to bring Edition brand to Iceland
Marriott International, in association with Ian Schrager and Carpenter & Company, has will open its first hotel in Iceland in 2018, The Reykjavik Edition. Edition combines the personal, intimate, individualised and unique hotel experience that Ian Schrager is known for, with the global reach, operational expertise and scale of Marriott International.
JW Marriott Marquis Dubai goes from strength to strength
JW Marriott Marquis Dubai released its 2015 half year sales results which reveal it has continued to go from strength to strength throughout 2015 despite challenging global conditions. The UAE’s largest five-star hotel experienced an inventory increase of 51 per cent during this period and occupancies across its 1,608 rooms remained in excess of 80 per cent leading into Ramadan.
New appointment for Marriott International
Tricia Primrose has been appointed Global Chief Communications & Public Affairs Officer of Marriott International. Primrose joins Marriott from Rational 360, a strategic public relations and communications firm where she has been a Partner since 2013 providing counsel and communications support for C-suite executives at large multinational companies.
Marriott International signs on for NBA Global Games
Marriott International and the National Basketball Association have signed a partnership that makes the global lodging company the Official Hotel of several marquee NBA events around the world. The deal includes the NBA Global Games 2015-16, NBA Africa Game 2015, and NBA Canada Series 2015. Marriott is the first company to partner with the NBA across international games on five different continents.
Courtyard by Marriott makes Chilean debut
Marriott International is opening the new 205-room Courtyard by Marriott Hotel in Santiago, Chile. The 205-room hotel is situated immediately adjacent to the existing 280-room Santiago Marriott in the Las Condes business district.

Marriott unveils continued growth plans across Middle East
