Vilnius Airport reopens after €19 million reconstruction project
The Lithuanian department of tourism is celebrating the completion of a €19 million reconstruction project, and the re-opening of the capital’s airport, Vilnius. The newly renovated runway and airport re-opened to flights after 35 days of work, with an official ceremony on the tarmac.
British visitors flock to Lithuanian as Baltic tourism booms
The number of British tourists visiting Lithuania has increased by 7.6 per cent over the past year. More than 58,200 British holidaymakers visited the destination in 2016, staying at least one night said Lithuania State Department of Tourism, making it the fifth consecutive year for growth from the UK market.

As Finnair Flight AY 131 from Helsinki descended into Vilnius, the pilot informed the passengers that their plane was carrying the one millionth visitor to Vilnius in 2016 - a new record for the Baltic capital.
GO Vilnius launches to boost tourism development
The City of Vilnius has launched GO Vilnius, the city’s new development agency. The new organisation will combine international investment, business development, and city marketing and tourism initiatives, including the work of the Vilnius Convention Bureau, under one umbrella.
