Kenya Airways takes delivery of Embraer jet
The first Embraer E190 aircraft to be fully purchased by Kenya Airways has touched down at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi. The aircraft is expected to boost the airline’s expanding fleet and service new routes and frequencies on its growing African network.
Kenya Airways to expand east African presence
Kenya Airways has confirmed it will seek to expand its dominance in East Africa with the launch of a handful of new routes. The carrier is planning moves into Lamu and Eldoret, both in Kenya, as well as Kilimanjaro on Tanzania’s northern tourist circuit, Malakal in South Sudan, Mauritius and Cape Town.
Saudi Arabian Airlines links with Kenya Airways
Saudi Arabian Airlines has entered into a codeshare agreement with Kenya Airways, a move that will strengthen each other’s presence in their respective countries. The codesharing arrangement will cover the Nairobi-Jeddah route along which Kenya Airways launched flights in October last year, targeting the growing passenger traffic between Kenya and Saudi Arabia.
