Jumeirah Creekside Hotel has appointed Ansgar Werneke as the new Executive Chef. Originally from Germany, Chef Ansgar has over twenty two years’ of culinary experience and joins from Jumeirah Beach Hotel where he worked for five years. During his time there he was responsible for the culinary operations in both the restaurant and banquet divisions.

Jumeirah Group has signed three new management agreements to operate luxury hotels and resorts across China. The Jumeirah Haikou Resort is set in an exclusive golf community on a private island in Hainan; the Jumeirah Wuhan has a prime city centre location near to Hankou; and Jumeirah Nanjing is set in the Hexi new business district.

Jumeirah has announced the appointment of Stephan Schüpbach to the position of vice president operations, Jumeirah Group. In this role Schüpbach will be responsible for overseeing the performance of Jumeirah’s owned hotels in Dubai, managed hotels in Asia Pacific and the global wellness brand Talise.

Jumeirah Group, the Dubai-based luxury hospitality company and a member of Dubai Holding, has announced that after 11 years’ loyal service general manager of Jumeirah Carlton Tower and regional vice president Europe Derek Picot has decided to leave the company. He will remain in active service with Jumeirah Group until September 30th 2014 to ensure a smooth transition to the new regional vice president Europe Doris Greif, who also assumes the role of General Manager Jumeirah Frankfurt.
