Tourism thought leaders from around the world will gather in Jamaica February 17 – 19, 2025 for the highly anticipated Third Annual Global Tourism Resilience Conference and Expo in Hanover.
2024/25 Cruise Tourism Season Starts with a Bang - Bartlett
With Jamaica having welcomed 1.1 million cruise passengers since the start of the year, the 2024/2025 cruise tourism season got off to a strong start with ten vessels calling on the three main resort ports, with some 34,519 passengers and a combined crew of 13,137 between December 2 and 5, 2024.
Minister Bartlett Welcomes New Portugal/Jamaica Flights For 2025
Minister of Tourism, Hon. Edmund Bartlett has welcomed a brand-new flight out of Europe as World2Fly is set to begin rotations in Summer 2025 from Lisbon, Portugal, to Montego, Jamaica. The service will enhance visitor arrivals from Continental Europe by approximately 7,000 passengers from the period of June to September 2025.

Edmund Bartlett, has lauded the Global Tourism Resilience and Crisis Management Centre – Eastern Africa (GTRCMC-EA) for winning the distinguished 2024 Tourism Resilience Award. The centre, based at Kenyatta University in Nairobi, Kenya, was honoured at the Global Resilience Council Hall of Fame Awards, held at Plaisterers’ Hall in London on November 6, 2024.
