Ministry of Tourism to Host Savour Jamaica Culinary Event in Tourism Awareness Week 2024
The Ministry of Tourism, its public bodies and industry partners will host “Savour Jamaica,” an engaging gastronomy event celebrating Jamaica’s diverse culinary heritage. The event, themed “Out of Many, One Pot, One Love,” will bring together food vendors and chefs from across the island to showcase signature Jamaican dishes. Savour Jamaica has been organised as part of a series of activities to mark Tourism Awareness Week (TAW) 2024 and demonstrates how gastronomy tourism can foster peace, collaboration, and cultural exchange. It will exemplify the broader TAW 2024 theme, “Tourism and Peace: Out of Many, One Love,” which is in keeping with the theme selected by UN Tourism (United Nations Tourism) for World Tourism Day 2024, which will be celebrated globally on Friday, September 27th. This year Tourism Awareness Week is being observed from September 22-28.
