Vueling to launch new customer loyalty programme
Vueling will soon launch its new loyalty programme Vueling Club to replace the current Punto programme. From autumn 2017, Vueling customers will be able to collect and spend Avios to get free flights from the airline.
Soaring profits at International Airlines Group in first half of 2017
International Consolidated Airlines Group has reported second quarter operating profit of €805 million before exceptional items for the six months to June 30th. Passenger unit revenue at the group - which operates Iberia and British Airways - for the quarter was up 1.5 per cent, or four per cent at constant currency.
IAG orders new aircraft for Level
International Airlines Group is converting three Airbus A330-200 long-haul aircraft options into firm orders for Level, its new low cost long-haul airline brand which started operations in early June.

Iberia chairman Luis Gallego has disclosed that the Spanish airline has made a firm order to acquire 20 new Airbus A320neo aircraft to modernise its short- and medium-haul fleet. The aircraft will be delivered from the first half of 2018 through 2021.
Level prepares to take off in crowded trans-Atlantic market
International Airlines Group will today launch Level, a new low-cost trans-Atlantic carrier. The first flight from the new airline will leave Barcelona on route to Los Angeles.
IAG to introduce GDS booking fees at British Airways and Iberia
International Airlines Group carriers British Airways and Iberia will introduce a fee for travel agents using third-party global distribution systems from November. A fee of £8 per booking will be charged from November 1st.

International Consolidated Airlines Group has reported first quarter operating profit of €170 million before exceptional items, up from €155 million during the same period last year.
Level flights go live on Vueling website
Flights on Level can now be booked via the website of its sister airline Vueling in addition to flylevel.com. Customers from across Vueling’s 137 European destinations can book flights to the airline’s home base at Barcelona which connect onto Level’s long-haul network with a single ticket.

International Airlines Group is launching LEVEL - a new low cost long-haul airline brand. The carrier will take to the skies in June, with flights from Barcelona to Los Angeles, San Francisco (Oakland), Buenos Aires and Punta Cana.
IAG sees pre-tax profits rise for financial 2016
International Airlines Group has reported pre-tax profits of €2.5 billion before exceptional items for the year to December 31st, 2016. The figure is up 32.7 per cent on that of 2015.
Iberia expands Madrid-Barcelona air bridge with Vueling partnership
Iberia has unveiled its new walk-on air shuttle service between Madrid and Barcelona, known as the Puente Aéreo. The airline hopes the redesigned service will maintain its existing advantages, while adding flexibility, new facilities for customers, and more flights to choose from, thanks to the agreement reached with Vueling to operate this route jointly.
IAG carries 100m passengers in 2016
International Airlines Group carried more than 100 million passengers in 2016, a record for the group. In total, Aer Lingus, British Airways, Iberia and Vueling carried 100,675,056 passengers which was up by 14 per cent compared to 2015.
