The first International Luxury Travel Market Africa (ILTM) Africa (www.iltm.net/africa) opened today at the Mount Nelson Hotel in Cape Town with an Opening Forum that focused on the evolution and issues facing the luxury travel market for Sub-Saharan Africa. The forum welcomed all 70 African luxury travel experiences participating at ILTM Africa, as well as the international Hosted Buyers, each specializing in creating and planning luxury travel inbound to Africa, plus a delegation of selected international and regional media.
The launch of International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM) Africa, Cape Town will also include the first ILTM Africa Forum – a live debate led by some of Africa’s leading industry figures who will discuss the rise of luxury travel, the issues that this has brought to the continent, and how safari tourism has moved upmarket. There will also be a key one-on-one interview to be announced in the coming weeks.
Following the success of the first ILTM Americas in Mexico earlier this month, International Luxury Travel Market - organised by Reed Travel Exhibitions - has announced it will be launching a similar event in South Africa next year: ILTM Africa.
