Hyundai Rotem wins Istanbul contract
Hyundai Rotem has won the contact to supply 17 driverless metro trains to Istanbul Metro. The €79 million contract will see the four car trains delivered in the first half of 2017. They will operate on line M2 which connects Yenikapı and Hacıosman.
Hyundai Rotem to Sign MOU with Russian Railways
Hyundai Rotem (CEO Min-ho Lee), a subsidiary of Hyundai Motors Group, announced that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Russian Railways (Gapanovich, Senior Vice President) on a mid-to long-term business cooperation for the Russian railway and transportation sector, as Kim Sung-hwan, Minister of Foreign Affairs & Trade oversaw the signing of agreement, at the main building of the ministry.
Hyundai Rotem signed a $200 Mil contract for supply of EMUs to Turkey
EMUs to be manufactured in Eurotem, the local manufacturing plant, for the joint project of TCDD and Izmir. Contracts with Turkey worth $1.8 billion supplying approximately 1,000 trains during the last ten years.
