Holland America Line to explore seven continents, 65 countries in 2013
Holland America Line’s flagship ms Amsterdam and the intimate explorer, ms Prinsendam, each will sail two Grand Voyages in 2013. In total, the four extensive itineraries feature 322 cruising days, visiting more than 120 ports of call in 65 countries.
Holland America Line expands Australia and New Zealand cruise holiday offering
In winter 2012 and spring 2013 two Holland America Line ships – ms Oosterdam and ms Volendam – will sail a series of Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific cruises. The vessels will visit more than 50 ports where guests can revel in the cosmopolitan attractions of Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland, and explore the exotic landscapes of Vanuatu and Fiji in the South Pacific.
Holland America launches Facebook contest
Holland America Line recently launched a contest on Facebook that will award one fan a seven-day Alaska cruise for four including two verandah staterooms. The sweepstakes runs through Nov. 30, 2011 and the winner will be selected in December 2011.

An intoxicated cruise passenger could face imprisonment after he dropped the anchor of a moving Holland America Line cruise into the Caribbean ocean, while 1,950 passengers were on board.

In a move that’s a first for the premium cruise line, Holland America Line will deploy ms Rotterdam from Europe year-round starting in September, 2012, on a series of extended sailings round-trip from Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The line selected the homeport of Rotterdam because of the company’s deep historical connection to the city as well its easily accessible location in Northwest Europe.
