New appointment for Hilton Worldwide
Hilton Worldwide has appointed Ronen Nissenbaum as Vice President of Operations, Luxury Hotels-Americas. In this newly created position, Nissenbaum will possess full operational responsibility for all Hilton Worldwide luxury properties within the region inclusive of Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts and Conrad Hotels & Resorts.
OXBO Bankside joins London hospitality scene
OXBO Bankside and The Distillery – the restaurant and bar within the new Hilton London Bankside – has opened to the public. Hilton Worldwide has partnered with technology platform Uber to offer expanded digital features that will further simplify and streamline the travel experience for Hilton guests. Through the partnership, Hilton guests around the world can set Uber ‘Ride Reminders,’ automated notifications to request Uber rides to and from the hotel.

Hilton Worldwide has confirmed William Margaritis will become the company’s executive vice president of Corporate Affairs starting in late August, based in the company’s global headquarters in McLean, VA. Margaritis previously served for nearly 16 years as senior vice president of Global Communications and Investor Relations at FedEx Corporation.

Hilton Worldwide is planning to open the mid-market Hilton Garden Inn Gaborone in the capital and largest city of Botswana. The signing marks Hilton Worldwide’s first hotel agreed in the country.
Hilton and Hyatt plan dual hotel at The Wharf
Hilton Worldwide and Hyatt Hotels Corporation will open a 413-key dual-branded hotel at The Wharf. Canopy by Hilton, a 120,000-square-foot lifestyle brand hotel, will have 175 keys, and Hyatt House, a 145,000-square-foot extended-stay hotel, will have 238 keys.

Hilton Worldwide has partnered with the University of Cambridge to launch the first ever Holiday Matchmaker Facebook App. The new tool analyses a user’s Facebook ‘Likes’ to reveal their traveller personality profile. Results reveal what kind of traveller they are, handpick destinations best suited to their travel style, and even recommend friends that would make the most compatible travel companions.
Hilton expands call centre operations in Orlando
Hilton is expanding its Hilton Reservations and Customer Care operations and is hiring 70 part-time, work-from-home positions in Orlando to provide inbound reservation support for guests.
