Europa Park revealed as top German tourist attraction
The results are in: Europa-Park is Germany’s most popular tourist attraction for visitors from abroad in 2015, followed by Neuschwanstein Castle and Cologne Cathedral. The results follow an online survey carried out by the German National Tourist Board over the last two years. The aim of the poll, which is now in its fourth year, is to find the country’s 100 most popular attractions.
Germany welcomes surging visitor figures
Between January and April 2015, almost 20 million overnight stays were generated in Germany by international visitors, according to the latest figures from the Federal Statistical Office. That’s 800,000 more overnights than in the same period the year prior – a total increase of 4.3 percent. The figure includes accommodation providers with ten or more beds as well as camp grounds.

Germany welcomes record visitor numbers in 2014 as The Netherlands leads the way
The number of overnight stays from abroad to Germany increased to 58.8 million for the period from January to September 2014 according to latest figures from the Federal Statistical Office of Germany. Some 2.9 million extra nights, in accommodation establishments with ten or more beds, were registered compared to the same period last year, an overall increase of 5.1 per cent.
Abu Dhabi welcomes Congress of the German Travel Association
Over 800 leading German tourism players, who between them have a consumer base in the region of six to eight million travellers, were in the UAE capital over the National Weekend holiday for the 64th Annual Congress of the German Travel Association. Fourth record year in a row for destination Germany
For the fourth year in a row, the German National Tourist Board has registered record numbers of overnight stays by international visitors to the country. Figures for 2013 have exceeded the projected target of 70 million overnights and provisional figures released by the Federal Statistical Office show that 71.6 million overnight stays by international visitors were recorded.
More Brits forecast to visit Germany than ever in 2014
The German National Tourist Board is predicting that more people from the UK will be visiting Germany than ever before in the coming months: in 2012 the figure of overnight stays to Germany overall, rose to 4.5 million. The highest recorded figure occurred during 2006 world cup, when visitor numbers from the UK reached 4,531,178.
