Garuda Indonesia links London to Jakarta
Garuda Indonesia – the national airline for Indonesia – announced today that it has chosen Gatwick to operate direct flights between London and Jakarta, one of south-east Asia’s largest hub airports. This will make Gatwick the only UK airport to connect passengers directly to the largest economy in the region.
Garuda Indonesia reports strong revenue growth
Indonesia’s national airline, Garuda Indonesia has announced its third quarter consolidated operating revenue of $2.39 billion, an increase of 14.4 per cent, compared to the $2.08 billion earned in the same period last year. In addition, the airline booked an income from operations of $92.75 million, which is a significant 140.4 percent rise compared to $38.60 million last year.
Garuda Indonesia opens premium check in
Indonesia’s national airline, Garuda Indonesia, has launched a premium check-in area at Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Cengkareng to better serve its premium passengers. Executive class passengers and Garuda Frequent Flyer Platinum members can now check-in, pay their airport taxes, make another reservation, purchase new tickets or re-route their flights using the new exclusive check-in counters.
Garuda Indonesia links with Liverpool FC
Garuda Indonesia and Liverpool Football Club have signed a Global Official Airline partnership, which will run for three seasons until 2015. This exclusive deal sees Garuda take over as official airline for the club, which means whenever Liverpool tours to destinations served by the airline - especially in Asia and Australia - it will enlist the services of Garuda Indonesia, as its official airline.
Garuda Indonesia appoints Brunei sales team
Garuda Indonesia has appointed its first general sales agent in Brunei Darussalam, ADATC Sales. Starting August 1st 2012, ADATC Sales will act as the Indonesian national airline’s local representative to manage its sales, marketing and reservation activities in Brunei.
Garuda Indonesia confirms third Airbus A330 order
Garuda Indonesia has placed a firm order with Airbus for 11 more A330-300 widebody aircraft. The contract was signed in Jakarta by Emirsyah Satar, president, Garuda Indonesia and Tom Williams, executive vice president, programmes, Airbus.
Garuda Indonesia boosts Jakarta flights
Indonesia’s national airline, Garuda Indonesia, has announced the addition of a third daily flight between Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta starting February 19th 2012. The new service will operate using a Boeing 737-800NG aircraft, which features Garuda Indonesia’s new ‘Nature’s Wing’ livery, signature interior and upgraded on-board services such as individual touch-screen LCD TVs with Audio-Video on Demand entertainment systems.

Garuda Indonesia, the national carrier of Indonesia, has signed a new firm order for four A330-300s. The airline has chosen the latest 235 tonne maximum take-off weight variant for long-haul services to all destinations to the Middle East, Asia and Pacific from its hubs in Jakarta and Denpasar.
