Dubai-based flydubai has announced the launch of daily flights to Moscow, to start in September 2014, during the Moscow International Travel & Tourism Exhibition. Commenting on the launch, flydubai chief executive, Ghaith Al Ghaith, said: “We are pleased to announce the launch of direct flights to Russia’s capital marking the airline’s commitment to one of its key markets.”

flydubai launches new business class service
flydubai has recorded another milestone with its first business class flight taking off. The airline announced the launch of the new service earlier in June this year based on customer demand. Passengers of flight FZ729 to Kiev’s Boryspil Airport, Ukraine were the first to experience the carrier’s new product offering.

flydubai began flights to Salalah, in the Sultanate of Oman, earlier bringing its operational network to 60 destinations. flydubai flight FZ039 touched down at Salalah Airport just hours before the airline began scheduled operations to Mattala, its second point in Sri Lanka, following a special flight in March on the opening day of Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport.

flydubai launches flights to South Sudan
flydubai has made its maiden flight to Juba, the capital city of the Republic of South Sudan. The inaugural flight, FZ61, touched down at Juba Airport earlier with Ghaith Al Ghaith, chief executive of flydubai and Buti Al Ghandi, managing director of Saeed Mohammed Al Ghandi & Sons on board.
flydubai launches double daily flights to Sri Lanka
flydubai has confirmed it will fly double daily to Sri Lanka starting this summer, bringing the total number of weekly flights to 14. The announcement comes a week after the carrier attended the inaugural ceremony for Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport (also known as Hambantota Airport).
flydubai boosts services to Russia
flydubai has underscored the growing importance of the CIS region to its operations by announcing it will double its network in Russia to eight points and add additional services in Ukraine. In Russia, the carrier will launch flights to Mineralnye Vody on April 16th 2013 followed by Rostov-on-Don and Volgograd on September 13th 2013.
