Eurostar boosts Chinese sales through Sina Weibo campaign
Eurostar’s first social media campaign on Chinese social media site, Sina Weibo, has attracted over 50 million viewers and helped to double direct sales for Eurostar on the Chinese market. The campaign invited participants to submit a short video of their favourite spot in Paris or London, before allowing the Chinese public to vote for a winner to receive a luxury Eurostar trip.
Eurostar moves workforce to Box for mobile content access
Box today announced that Eurostar, the high-speed railway service connecting London with Paris and Brussels, is bringing Box’s cloud content sharing and collaboration platform to its 1,600 employees. In addition to providing mobile access to content, Box will also centralize management and security for Eurostar’s internal and external collaboration.
Full Eurostar services resume after weekend disruption
Eurostar has confirmed full services have resumed after a weekend of disruption caused by a fire in the Channel Tunnel. A fire on board a lorry passing through the tunnel saw it closed for most of Saturday, while an unrelated electrical fault saw further closures on Sunday morning.
Eurostar set to launch Geneva service this weekend
Eurostar is on track to set off to Switzerland this Sunday with the start of the new year-round service to Geneva via Lille, in partnership with international high-speed train service TGV Lyria. Ticket sales for the new Swiss route are open and travellers can purchase fares from the Eurostar website. With an easy connection on to a TGV Lyria service in Lille Europe, passengers can travel from London to Geneva in just over six hours with services specially timed to ensure a fast transfer between the two trains.

Strong growth at Eurostar ahead of anniversary celebrations
Just weeks before its 20th anniversary on November 14th, Eurostar, the high speed rail service between the UK and mainland Europe, has reported continuing year-on-year growth to September 30th 2014. Compared to the same period in 2013, quarter three passenger numbers grew by three per cent to 2.8 million while sales revenues rose by two per cent to £211 million.
UK government to proceed with Eurostar sale
UK chancellor of the exchequer George Osborne has said the government is seeking a buyer for its 40 per cent stake in the Eurostar cross-Channel train service. The planes were originally revealed in the 2013 Autumn Statement and National Infrastructure Plan, with the government now moving ahead with the proposals.

Eurostar to launch year-round service to Geneva
Eurostar has today announced a new year-round service to Geneva via Lille, in partnership with international high-speed train service TGV Lyria. From Thursday October 9th, travellers will be able to purchase tickets for the new Swiss route, with the inaugural service leaving London St. Pancras on the December 14th 2014.

Eurostar welcomes five million passengers in six months
Eurostar has reported continued growth in both passenger volumes and sales revenues in the first half of 2014, with passenger numbers up two per cent in the first six months of the year. The service carried five million passengers during the period, up from 4.9 million in 2013.
